4th of July

What a wonderful Fourth of July we were able to have with the Coons Clan. Every one of Spencer's brothers were able to come for the weekend and what a special weekend it was. Trevor and Heather made it that much more fun by blessing their baby in Chris and Kim's ward (which is also Heathers parents ward) on the Fourth. Mark and Mallie came down late Thursday night despite the fact their car was fighting them the whole way. I was so happy that they made it safe and sound. Madison is their 3 1/2 year old girl and what a joy she is! Jordan and Stacey recently moved to Las Vegas for work and were able to come up late Saturday.

Friday was the beginning of the Coons Clan get together. Spencer had to work until 1 pm so the rest of us took Madison swimming and got in a little early sun in. Madison is so much fun, she is just learning to swim on her own and she is getting so good at it. Then we went back to the house to get ready to go see Toy Story Three (which is just a wonderful movie). Afterward we went to "Chop Chop House"-a Japanese steak house to celebrate Marks 30th birthday. It was so much fun to spend time with Mark and Mallie, we are going to miss them so much when we move even further away!

Saturday was the beginning of the festivities! We slept in a while but then got ready to go to Downtown St. George. At the larger park in the center of town was a big party with booths, jump houses, a rock wall, and so much more. Madison was the fastest girl through the bounce houses and knew how to maneuver through the lines and past those slow kids! It was a bit hot and we were hungry so we made our way over to Wingers and enjoyed the air conditioning and some yummy food. We went back to the house to relax a while because the sun sucked the life out of us! Later in the day we had a BBQ at the pool. That is when Jordan, Trevor, and Sterling all came to join the party and it was blast to have all the boys together. All the little cousin's played together while enjoying great food and fun.

Later that night we all got together and drove up the mountain with the airport to watch the fireworks. We made it half way up and realized we could sit on the side of the road with a great view of the valley with out the traffic. I have always loved watching firework's and was so glad to share that joy with the family.
Sunday was a very special day with the blessing of Trevor and Heathers baby boy Clayton. What a blessing to have all the brothers and both grandpa's able to be their to bless the baby. After church we had a BBQ to end all BBQ's! Steaks the size of your plate and enough food to feed an army. It was so much fun just to relax and catch up with all the family and play with our nieces and nephews.

Monday morning everybody was getting back to life. Mark and Mallie left early in the morning to miss all that traffic. Stacey, Heather, and I went shopping with Kim real quick and it was fun to have a girls day. But then Jordan and Stacey had to get back down to Las Vegas. Spencer and I had to get on the road to Provo so Spencer could work Tuesday Morning.

What a blessing this last weekend was while the Coons Clan is always an adventure it is always a grand one!
