It's official... we have become Oklahomans! We have suffered through the hot humidity of the late summer, made our way through the drastic changes of winter from frigid nights to warm days, and now we welcome Tornado Season.
Thursday a nasty Storm was much anticipated. All week it had been predicted that the weather was perfect for Tornado's, and Oklahomans love to talk about their weather (some how it always surprises them??!!). It has been beautiful outside, in the 80's with a bit of cool wind (it is always windy). Then Thursday afternoon the clouds rolled in, it was pretty fascinating to watch. Me and the pups were curled up in the recliner looking out the window and googling Tornado's (yes I know, you are not supposed to sit by your windows). I did have the dog's bra's on just in case I had to dash to the closet.

Spencer was of course at School for most of the storm and they evacuated all of the students to the stair wells. Which frustrated Spencer and Julia since they are in the middle of studying for finals! One of Spencer's law friends with his girlfriend, who lives in the complex, came over to wait out the storm because we are on the ground level (apparently that is safer).

The sirens came and went a few times, along with lots of hail, rain, and wind! Luckily Tulsa was the one place that it came and went with in a couple of hours. Spencer decided to drive home in the tail end of it, even though he got soaked through and through.

Later that night there was a bunch of thunder and lightening and it was fun to lay in bed and listen. The dogs did great, they had no clue what was going on! A few times in the night Max would lift his head to the thunder but would go back to sleep. All in all it was a pretty exciting night, however, I am told it is only the beginning of the Tornado Season!
